New CRYEngine 2 is being used by Crytek for developing the new game. The game will also hit the consoles this time, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2.
Richard Morgan, the award winning sci-fi novel writer, is busy writing the Crysis 2 stories, which is suppose to happen in the urban settings of New York.
We can hope the video of Crysis 2 at the E3 Expo 2010. It is going to start in couple of days.
Creative constraints in Crysis 2
The game Crysis 2 is well defined as ’sandbox game with borders’. Crytek, the developer of the game, faced down Xbox 360 limitation by saying it “avoided over-designing features.”

Crytek also said further why they had chosen tighter and a more metropolitan world for Crysis 2 as a part of a huge exclusive in CVG sister mag Xbox World 360.
Earlier there were also reports flooded in media that Crysis 2 is set in New York, which is away from its predecessor’s lush.
Nathan Camarillo, the executive producer of Crytek said, “I wouldn’t exactly call this generation of consoles ‘limited’. However, the challenges have allowed us to avoid over-designing features, to keep the focus narrower and tight for a compelling experience on all platforms.”
He also added further, “In the end this will make for the best experience for the gamer, because we will spend more time per feature, making it polished, rather than spreading ourselves thinly just because we can. Creative constraints can be refreshing.”
Replying to a question asked by the media about the confines of a city may be restricting to the freedom of players that was used in the first game, he said, “I think the freedom of Crysis 2 will surprise console gamers. Crysis is not about ‘go anywhere’. It’s about looking at a situation from a great vantage point and then formulating a plan that you proactively initiate to defeat your foes.”
Crysis2 and Free Radical
Crysis 2, The developer Free Radial will be working on it now though we don’t know how it’ll be working. But Indeed we don’t need to put up with the bad temper of irritated call from so called friend.

In spite of have corroded memory it won’t be problem for Crysis2 as Free Radical , the same British developer behind the outstanding Time splittersseries where it has been forced to quit doors after the debacle i.e. Haze.
Hopefully, Crysis 2 will be released for the for the PC, Xbox360 and PS3
As per Crytek boss Faruk Yerli , they are working on “a part of the game” by extending their collaboration on the project.
Crysis 2 set in version of New York City
The forthcoming Crysis 2 of Crytek is not set in tropical environment. It is set in a version of New York City under the attack from the aliens. Recently this news has been emerged.

Gary Steinman, editor of the Official PlayStation Magazine, revealed this news on his Twitter feed. There he also showcased the Crysis 2 cover feature of the magazine.
Last year Publisher EA confirmed that Crysis 2 will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also on PC.
They also gave indication that this new sequence will be made available in the fiscal year 2010-11.
The US PC Gamer however claimed recently that this game is likely to be released in December 2010.
CryTek are aiming too high with technology
The president of developer Gearbox, Randy Pitchford said that companies like Crytek and id Software are in fact hurting themselves and also the videogaming in creating experiences that are designed for the next generation of console hardware and not the current one.

In an interview to the Official Xbox Magazine, Pitchford said, “Some people have invested a lot going to a place that’s too far, and the customers aren’t ready for that yet because they don’t have the hardware for it. And so they can’t find the market. I was thinking of Crytek, they couldn’t find a market because they made a game that very few people could play. I’m not putting words in their mouth, I remember reading something publicly where they said they couldn’t put this on consoles because of the hardware.”
Pitchford is also worried in what the id Software is making in its upcoming Rage that will be taking up the full capacity of a Blu-ray disk. It may arrive soon on the Xbox 360 that will be packed on three separate disks.
The Gearbox boss is taking things such that it will be only favoring and benefiting the technology and not offering any experience that can easily be enjoyed by a bigger number of gamers.

Yerli says all asked him why they are not going to consoles
It is a fact that all console gamers wait for years for the Crysis series to make its much-awaited living room debut. The E3 conference last week announced that the German developer’s signature series will be available in stores for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. These were the part of the EA Partners program.

In a recent interview after the announcement, the CEO and president of Crytek, Cevat Yerli and the GM of EA, David DeMartini explained the reasons of releasing the game on multiplatform.
Yerli said, “It’s a question of more than economics. At the end of the day we’re paying salaries and we all have to live, but that’s one side of this job. But most importantly and a bit more tangible to us are the families, the nephews, and sons who ask, ‘Why aren’t you going to consoles?”
He further added that it is a kind of like bothering people. The developer and publisher has been asked several time in the last 3 or 4 years. Yerli also insists that the company will not be committing to a console Crysis 2 unless it would sustain the established reputation with the benchmark-setting efforts such as Crysis and Far Cry.
CryTek announces officially for the release of Crysis 2
Now CryTek has officially announced the Crysis 2 game. It has announced at the E3 Conference 2009. It revealed that the game will use the new CryEngine 3 engine. This mean that it will not only be limited to the PC version only.

But, one fact, the game will be multiformat. According to the Smart Money, Crysis 2 will be on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well. The press release for the game says that the engine is designed for both consoles. All these are rumour or fact is still unknown, but CryTek has not confirmed anything of such.
The CEO and President of CryTek, Cevat Yerli, said, “The development of Crysis 2 marks a major stepping stone for our studio.”
He also added further, “This is not only the next game in the Crysis franchise, it’s the first title we are developing for consoles and the first title being built on CryEngine 3.”
Crysis 2 is a reality
Now it is a reality. Yes, Crysis 2 is a reality. EA and Crytek recently announced it during the EA’s big E3 press conference on Tuesday. The companies are not talking more about the game itself. Not even in any interview. It has been seen shortly before the press conference with Crytek boss Cevat Yerli and EA Partners head David DeMartini.
At present, both the companies are quite happy of sticking with the announcement. Yerli and DeMartini says that the deal for EA to publish Crysis 2 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 is an extension of earlier deal for Crysis and Crysis Warhead.
Oh! Yes, Crysis 2 is multiplatform and not a PC-exclusive title.
Cevat Yerli said that the very competitiveness of Crytek was at stake. He said that the Crysis game was successful from a critical and commercial angle. Yerli said, “Going forward we need to be more profitable, and the only way to do that is logically to move our company toward the consoles.”
