In past few months it is seen that Crytek has gained a reputation for being outspoken. In fact all the claims made by crytek had gained them reputation like proclaiming that the 3D in Crysis 2 is better than Killzone 2.

With the Crysis 2, Crytek need to prove a lot. It may be that they have to prove more than what they have claimed from time to time in recent months relatede to upcoming Crysis 2. Crytek had also said that the game features the best AI ever seen in video games.

Cervat Yerli, boss of Crytek, said with confidence that Crysis 2 will be featuring the best artificial intelligence in the video gaming industry. He said, “We have the most advanced AI system in a game. We think that Crysis 2 has the most advanced AI for both humans and aliens you’ve ever seen.”

Once again, with all these claims, Crytek has shown that Crysis is a game on which we should keep our eyes on. The small gameplay that Crytek showed was technically impressive.

Electronic Arts has a believe that the new series Crysis 2 will be a Halo-Killer. It seems that EA has too much of faith on the franchises. Everyone likes to see it flourish.

There is a debate whether the multiple Crysis games is supposed to be called as Cryses or Crysises. Well, this debate may continue, but when David DeMartini, the boss of EA Partners was recently asked about his wish to have Crysis 3, Crysis 4 or Crysis 5 titles with EA then he responded it affirmatively.

DeMartini said, “Absolutely, yes.”

He further added, “I’m confident we’ll continue to have that series and that relationship. We continue to fulfil what we promised [Crytek] and, as I said, they are fantastic partners and incredibly loyal.”

What DeMartini said about the Crytek? Here is his quote:

“With regards to our ongoing relationships with Crytek and future Crysis games — absolutely,” he stated. “We’re always very interested in anything that they’re doing. But the nature of our relationship with them is — to some degree — unwritten loyalty to each other..”

Crysis 2 releasing on PC and consoles

Though original Crysis is 3 years old, but it is till date one of the best looking games for PC. At the time of launching the game was a badge of pride. It’s sequel, Crysis 2, is coming in PC as well as in consoles.

Crysis zipped all the fans into a high-tech Nanosuit. It has given to all the gamers a gun and it also dropped all into a massive jungle island amid angry militant North Koreans and also some of the alien invaders. In the game one can be damaged and destroyed or even blown up to varying degrees. It was a fantastic gaming experience.

A year later of the release of original, Crytek explored with Crysis Warhead, in which the events of the first one was merged with a parallel storyline. Many things were same in this action-heavy sci-fi shooter gameplay. It had little more linear flow. It had few tweaks to optimize the engine. The Crysis Warhead was one more fun and bloody game from Crytek which romp through the jungle.

Crytek is now more ambitious and is having more plans for the proper sequel for which it has been working on for past several years. The new sequel will be the first entry in the series going to be released for PC as well as for consoles.

Crysis 2 contest on Twitter

May 2, 2010 · Filed Under crysis 2 · Comment

A Twitter contest has been put up by Crytek studios and Electronic Arts teams Over the Crysis 2 promotional website. In the contest one lucky Tweeter will be having his name included in the game. So, be prepared to have your name immortalized in the game amongst the alien dead and the New York City rubble this year end when the game releases.

There are two ways to do this. You can go to the official site of Crysis or else you can simply Tweet.

Right now the team has not fixed any parameter as how the name of the winner will actually be utilized in the game. However, now it seems that one may only have the privilege of portraying Nomad’s squad buddy which gets eviscerated in the opening cut scene by the aliens.

Well, it is entirely possible that one may serve as the namesake for the featured alien boss.

What may be the storyline of Crysis 2

Is it that the new Crysis 2 is going to be set 500 years in the future. It is that it will be set in such a world where the UN lords over extrasolar planets.

Well, it is still in doubt. The writer Richard Morgan, who had once also authored a book called Altered Carbon, which won Philip K. Dick Award in 2003, is a critically lauded science fiction author. He is also known for his Takeshi Kovacs novels.

In a recent press conference, EA writes that “Morgan is working with [game developer] Crytek to bring his trademark visceral writing style to the project, which is his first entry into the video game medium.”

However, Morgan may be apparently hard this time because the game is due out this holiday season for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
