Few days before the updated set of box art pics of Crysis 2 was seen everywhere on the web though there has been no official release of it.

There are two interesting things of the art pics. One is that they are once again opting for a mature rated title which will be again not good with children. The second thing is that it will not be running on games for the windows exclusively as we had seen in the first one.

What may be the storyline of Crysis 2

Is it that the new Crysis 2 is going to be set 500 years in the future. It is that it will be set in such a world where the UN lords over extrasolar planets.

Well, it is still in doubt. The writer Richard Morgan, who had once also authored a book called Altered Carbon, which won Philip K. Dick Award in 2003, is a critically lauded science fiction author. He is also known for his Takeshi Kovacs novels.

In a recent press conference, EA writes that “Morgan is working with [game developer] Crytek to bring his trademark visceral writing style to the project, which is his first entry into the video game medium.”

However, Morgan may be apparently hard this time because the game is due out this holiday season for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Invitations are being send by at E3 2010. Here one will witness Project Natal’s real launch. On multiple occasions, earlier, Redmond released information and also previewed Natal. Well, we still are unaware of the full story about the “future of gaming.” One thing we are pretty sure that everything new is in fact the future of gaming.

Let us consider the fact the VG247 guys got their hands on the complete list of Xbox 360. There we can see Crysis 2 along with other interesting titles such as the Call of Duty 7, Band Hero 2, James Bond Racing, Guitar Hero 6, and Yoga Natal.

In the title Yoga Natal, though cool, there are many yoga gurus and adopters and it seems that they are going to play and “do” yoga together.

This title was listed on Amazon.com also for couple of hours and it is due to be outed sometime in October 2010 and it will be tagged for £19.99.

Amazing graphics of Crysis 2 on all platforms

April 3, 2010 · Filed Under crysis 2 · Comment

Last year when the original Crysis hit the PC, then it was thought that such amazing and outstanding graphics weren’t touchable by PS3 or the Xbox 360. Yes, most of that is true still.

Crytek, the develper of Crysis, has tapped deeper into the the consoles of Sony and Microsoft than what it was realistically possible years before. The company promises now to deliver the best graphics that have ever been seen, regardless of platform. Well, it was not easy to achieve this for the developer.

Cevat Yerli, the CEO of Crytek sais: “The decision to enter the console market for engines was first driven by our desire to make console games. That’s what we always wanted to do.”

He also added further in the interview with Game Reactor, “The big challenge during the development of CryENGINE3 has been scaling the engine whilst maintaining the visual quality and performance. This is always challenging; problems occurred of course, but we’re really proud that our teams have managed to solve them as we proved in line with several engine presentations and will prove with Crysis 2.”

According to him, the console gamers will now be getting fresh new game paradigm with the release of Crysis 2. He mentioned, “I think for console gamers especially the freedom of Crysis 2 gameplay is very interesting. Crysis gameplay is not about ‘go anywhere’, it is about looking at a situation from a great vantage point and then formulating a plan which you proactively initiate and defeat your foes.”
