Become invisible with Crysis Live! at GameCity event

Crysis Live! will be turning the Market Square’s full Festival Arena into a ‘live, full-scale recreation of the Crysis universe.’ It is the mega GameCity event in Nottingham. In it players will be making their way through tropical jungle setting by avoiding the enemies with the help of super-high-tech Nanosuit which will allow the make them invisible.

How you will be becoming invisible? How in fact in a real-life game?

Rob Yescombe, designer and director of Crysis Level, said to the media that to know this thing really happen one needs to play.

Crysis Live! is a game like Hide and Seek for the 21st Century. He said, “I don’t want to spoil too much. You really need to play it.”

Iain Simons, the director of GameCity said, “This is a terrifying departure from previous events for the festival.”

He further added GameCity is really excited to have a collaboration with the Crytek UK on making this amazing project happen.

GameCity festival will be held from October 27 to 31 and Crysis: Live! will take place on October 29 and 30.

CryEngine3 coming next month

During AMD Vision event CryTek Engine Licensing Business manager Mike Gamble talks to media in an interview. The discussion spanned from different APIs to challenges in the adoption of new platform.

In the way of expansion from the PC version to multi-platform engine, CryTek has got several new customers. At present time CryTek is having over dozen oflices who will be utilizing the next-generation CryEngine3.

The CryEngine3 is going to be launched in next month and there are too many projects that will be making use of this engine, especially there are to be few surprises for the consoles.

Mike said, “Yes, CryEngine 3 is keeping in line with the tradition. Good looking forest…”

He also said that the capabilities of the DirectX9 [when properly optimized] are brilliant for customers that needs to develop a title for the present generation of consoles and PCs.

He added that the customers who are targeting the next-generation console cycle should build upon the strengths of DirectX 11 API.

Mike mentioned further, “Our take is that CryEngine 3 simply blew our minds with the realistic water physics and effects on the “camera” viewpoint… it was really interesting to feel the immersion effect, so the guys and girls in CryTek are looking good to win the award for the best looking water of them all.”

Crytek announces free CryEngine for UK universities

Recently Crytek announced that the company is intending to serve the students of technological education in United Kingdom. It also revealed that universities can now make a free use of the sensational graphics engine named CryEngine.

Crytek’s managing director, Karl Hilton, said in an interview there in United Kingdom to the media that the company in near future will be providing free CryEngine for universities in the UK.

Karl Hilton said, “British universities are preparing students very well when it comes to knowledge. Unfortunately, young people who hit the industry, very often fail in practice to use their skills and creativity. By making available free of charge to universities came CryEngine game designers could learn how to solve practical many problems.”

He also added in the interview that universities usually have no idea about what are the educational opportunities available to the private companies. He mentioned further that private businesses should be offering cooperation for universities themselves.

It is heard that free CryEngine will be available in the coming months to UK universities and interested parties have already finalize the discussions on this subject.

Another free trial soon

Crytek earlier announced that it will be offering one another free trial period for all the multiplayer shooter Crysis Wars.

The official website of Crytek writes this recently: “As promised in July’s monthly update a brand new trial period is coming! This is the perfect opportunity to get your friends and family involved in some great online battles in Crysis Wars.”

It also mentions that gamers will get the full access to LAN as well as to online play and they can also use the editor with the trial client and that too for absolutely free!
All those gamers who are having keys from the previous trials then they should be able to use them up. The official website also confirmed, “they will be reactivated on the trial period start date.”

UK Crytek studio discloses contribution of critical elements to Crysis 2

The United Kingdom studio of Crytek reveals that it is contributing some of the critical elements to Crysis 2.

Karl Hilton, the UK MD of Crytek said to the media recently that his studio is presently working on the shooter sequel versions of the console, though it is not simply porting the game.

He said, “We have a lot of history with first-person-shooters, action-adventure games and multiplayer gaming, particularly on consoles, so we are contributing in all of these areas.”

He also added that he knows Crytek itself was a PC-based company initially, but the company will be increasingly play an important role in the console space. He further mentioned that his company is going to be a big part of that.

Crysis 2 seems to be the first game in this series that will appear on consoles. Cevat Yerli, the CEO of the company stressed that a recent breakthrough in the CryEngine 3 means that the game will not be compromised.
