Enjoy Crysis Warhead in 64-bit
Here are some juicy details about what to expect in Crysis Warhead’s first patch. It will be releasing very soon.
First of all it will come with better dynamic texture support for the Enthusiast mode. Enthusiast mode is the highest settings option among the others that are available in the game.
Secondly, the Timedemo, the famous one among all the enthusiasts and which we like to benchmark with will now get started from the command line. To remind all those with Windows Vista, the unrequested launches in the window mode will now occur less often. Talking of the mouse cursor,, it will not have an offset in the menu any more. Recently these two issues bothered many people. We should be very thankful to CryTek, which has responded to the all the enthusiastic gamers with a fix.
The features? The much awaited has arrived. The 64-bit mode. CryTek has added 64-bit executables for Windows XP x64 and also for Windows Vista x64. May be, as it is said, the Vista executable will also work with the new Windows 7 x64 beta. A new shortcut is available in Windows XP x64 under the Crysis Warhead program group. You can right click in Windows Vista the icon of Crysis Warhead in the Game Explorer and get the option to run the game in this new feature i.e. 64-bit mode.
Be careful. The game saved in 32-bit will not run in 63-bit and also vice-versa.
