Electronic Arts looking ahead for Crysis 3
Electronic Arts has a believe that the new series Crysis 2 will be a Halo-Killer. It seems that EA has too much of faith on the franchises. Everyone likes to see it flourish.

There is a debate whether the multiple Crysis games is supposed to be called as Cryses or Crysises. Well, this debate may continue, but when David DeMartini, the boss of EA Partners was recently asked about his wish to have Crysis 3, Crysis 4 or Crysis 5 titles with EA then he responded it affirmatively.
DeMartini said, “Absolutely, yes.”
He further added, “I’m confident we’ll continue to have that series and that relationship. We continue to fulfil what we promised [Crytek] and, as I said, they are fantastic partners and incredibly loyal.”
What DeMartini said about the Crytek? Here is his quote:
“With regards to our ongoing relationships with Crytek and future Crysis games — absolutely,” he stated. “We’re always very interested in anything that they’re doing. But the nature of our relationship with them is — to some degree — unwritten loyalty to each other..”
Crysis 2 set in version of New York City
The forthcoming Crysis 2 of Crytek is not set in tropical environment. It is set in a version of New York City under the attack from the aliens. Recently this news has been emerged.

Gary Steinman, editor of the Official PlayStation Magazine, revealed this news on his Twitter feed. There he also showcased the Crysis 2 cover feature of the magazine.
Last year Publisher EA confirmed that Crysis 2 will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also on PC.
They also gave indication that this new sequence will be made available in the fiscal year 2010-11.
The US PC Gamer however claimed recently that this game is likely to be released in December 2010.
Writer of Crysis 2 beaten and arrested
Last week Crysis 2’s writer and art consultant was beaten and arrested by the U.S. border patrol agents. There are only two options left for Dr. Peter Watt, either to face two years in the US prison or else to bankrupt himself in his defense.
Dr. Watt helped his friend move in Nebraska by car that was searched by border police at Port Huron crossing in Michigan. When Dr. Watts asked the police about the nature of the search then he was beaten by the officers. Watt was then charged with assaulting a federal officer. On the following day of this he posted bond but with his car and possessions impounded.
Now Dr. Watts has to return to Michigan to face the charges and if he is convicted then he will be facing at least two years in US prison and also a lifelong ban on travel there.
Meanwhile, Dr. Watts is getting help from a criminal lawyer in Michigan and this may be too expensive for the critically successful science fiction writer.
Fellow sci-fi writer David Nickle on the blog BoingBoing wrote, “The weight of his legal fees could literally put him on the street by spring.”

Playing Old Version Till the Crysis Warhead is released
With just a few more days to go before the Official release of the much awaited Crysis Warhead Game, the hype surrounding it is making the wait all the more longer. Well for those of you who have played the earlier crysis versions i can understand your eagerness, and for those who are yet to play it i would advise them to first play the old crysis game to get a feel of the crysis series. I am spending my time playing the earlier versiona and sort of getting into the groove to play this much awaited game. I am re-instating the various features of the Crysis Game below.
Crysis the PC game has many great features and these features are what make this PC game extremely fun for the gaming generation playing these games. Here are some of the features in the Crysis PC game:
Crysis PC Game Feature Environment Changes: In most PC games the environment of the game will be the same the entire time this is not true when playing the Crysis PC game. Environment changes in the Crysis PC game does affect the way people play one of the effects is extreme cold and another no gravity at all both of these effect the way a player will play the Crysis PC game. This is an innovation that no other PC game has brought to the table a great reason to check it out.
Crysis PC Game Feature Choose Your Own Stat Gain: When playing older PC games you would gain stats each level you grew, the stats where not something you would choose but something that game would choose. This is no longer the case with the Crysis PC game you get points that you can choose to use in the stat of your choice this allows for better game play and stronger characters in the Crysis PC game.
Does this sound like a game you would like to purchase you just don’t know the price? Well the price is only $36.99 which is a good price and less money then I spent when purchasing one of my halo costumes for $59 for the Master Chief Deluxe Halo costume so pick up this great PC game for your gaming enjoyment and add this to your crysis warhead series.
EA to build “Warhead Computers” made specifically to run Warhead?
Seems kind of weird to me, but here’s the rumor:
At Electronic Arts’ Comic-Con booth today, an EA rep mentioned that the company plans to market pre-built PCs in conjunction with the release of Crytek’s upcoming PC-exclusive shooter Crysis Warhead. The idea seems to be to try and circumvent some of the intimidation that exists for gamers who are either new to high-end PC gaming, or have been out of the scene for some time, and reassure them that it is not prohibitively expensive to acquire a machine that can tame something like Crysis and its followup.
Apparently, the rigs will come in various configurations, which will correspond to Crysis Warhead’s levels of graphical detail, with a likely price range being $600-$800 (I doubt EA will want to market a machine that meets only the game’s minimum spec), and they will probably be named accordingly–the Crysis Warhead Performance PC, and so on.
I like the idea of Electronic Arts looking for ways to make the PC platform more approachable, and this idea is sound–buy this PC that says Crysis on it; it’s designed to run Crysis, and you know that if it plays Crysis it’ll play anything else on the market. I was also impressed that EA had no less than three PC exclusives–Crysis Warhead, BattleForge, and Warhammer Online, and other games on display like Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space are in development for PC as well–in its booth at Comic-Con, a mainstream show if there ever was one.
As the rep also mentioned to me, EA’s own internal analysis indicates the PC market is growing–publishers just have to learn how to capitalize on it.

Brand new gameplay trailers for Crysis Warhead!
So Crysis has put out a new trailer, and it’s actually of gameplay this time instead of just some stupid mini-movie. The driving gameplay redefined looks improved in my opinion, I remember driving in the first Crysis was really hard and awkward.
Another thing I noticed when watching this trailer is that at about the :40 second mark, the machine running the game starts to lag and get choppy when the battle intensifies. Crytek already said Warhead will be able to run on mid-level PC’s, so it would be interesting to know what kind of machine was running this. In all fairness, the lag could have very well been caused by FRAPS or whatever game cam they were using. I usually don’t have that problem when using FRAPS, but who knows.

Crytek beating the piracy drums again?
I’m not sure what the deal is with this guy. It should also be pointed out that this site(crysiswarhead.net ) is simply a fan site, we are in NO WAY affiliated with Crytek , Crysis , or any of their affiliates. That being said, I don’t understand why the CEO of Crytek keeps bringing up piracy. Don’t get me wrong, piracy is bad and I don’t condone it, but the guy is using the same type of arguments that the RIAA uses on music pirates. He was quoted as saying:
It’s crazy how the ratio between sales to piracy is probably 1 to 15 to 1 to 20 right now. For one sale there are 15 to 20 pirates and pirate versions, and that’s a big shame for the PC industry. I hope with Warhead I hope we improve the situation, but at the same time it may have an impact on [our] PC exclusivity in the future.
It seems to me that he’s implying the tired old argument that a pirated download equals a lost sale, everyone knows that’s bogus. If that’s true the mobile phone gaming industry should have died long ago, but no, right now it’s still a teeming business. Do they lose sales because of piracy? Of course they do. But everyone knows it’s far from a 1:1 ratio. I’d stick the number someplace near 1 loss for every 10 pirated downloads.
For example, one of the larger clans I’m in tried Crysis out, most of us played the demo and never really took a liking to the game and that was that. A few of them actually did like the game and I assume they either pirated or bought it. Let’s say, for arguments sake, that all three of the clan members pirated the game, the question is, did they like the demo enough to actually buy the game if pirating wasn’t an option? I think Crytek knows the answer to this as do we.
I like Crysis , don’t get me wrong. There are things I love about it and things I hate about it, unfortunately with the first Crysis there were more things I disliked than liked. Obviously we all loved the graphics because they are second to none, our computers may have not liked them so much, but we loved them. But a game can’t leave it’s success up to graphics, you need good gameplay , solid coding(multiplayer , updates, etc), and a good storyline.
Let’s start with the storyline, it was bad. I can’t express how disappointed I was when I heard that towards the end of the game you are no longer fighting humans but you start to fight aliens…not even like organic aliens that bleed, no they were like robot aliens. How depressing, no blood or anything. I finally got a chance to see this for myself one day at a friends house, definitely disappointing. I hope that’s something they stay away from in Warhead. You hear that Crytek ? No aliens please. If you insist on having aliens, at least make them bleed and appear to be an organic living creature.
How about the game play? Meh . Nobody likes to shoot an enemy 25 times to put em on the ground, it just ruins everything. I will say the sniper rifle was bad ass, very nice. The sniper rifle and the graphics were my favorite things about the game. The game is basically setup as a sniper rifle kind of game anyway with enemies that you can’t get within a football field of without being spotted. The only problem is you don’t get the sniper rifle till like half way through the game. If they had started you off with a sniper rifle then to be honest, the only complaint I’d have is the alien things in the end of the game.
Crytek programmers, designers, CEO, whatever, if you read this poorly written article just remember one thing: Listen to your customers! We are here, all over the internet forums, blogs, and sites telling you what the problems were. All you have to do is listen to the complaints and do what we want, keep in mind you’re making video games for users, not for hardware companies to use and be like “oh look, our product can run Crysis graphics on full without melting”. Seriously, stop complaining about piracy and just listen to what we are telling you and you’ll have a hit. And if you think it can’t be done, look at other FPS games like Battlefield and Call of Duty.
As for me, I’m definitely looking forward to Warhead, I have no doubt that they know what needs to be done and they’re going to do it.
